Nobilia price groups run from 1 (lowest) to 8 or 9 (highest). The carcase specification does not change between them - the 19mm body, nBox drawers and Sensys hinges are standard across the programme. What changes is the front finish, and with it the cost of every matching panel and plinth.

Matching panels and plinths change the price more than people expect
Every kitchen has visible parts that are not doors: end panels on the run, island cladding, plinths under the base units, cornices and pelmets, and the return panels either side of tall units. On a well specified Nobilia kitchen those parts are ordered in the same finish as the fronts, so the colour, sheen and surface texture read as one continuous material.
The cost implication is simple. If your doors sit in a higher price group - a genuine lacquer, a honed anti-fingerprint matt, a deep-embossed wood-effect - then the matching panels and plinths are produced in that same finish and carry the same price group. On an island-led layout with tall unit walls, matching panelwork can be a meaningful share of the cabinet total.
There is a cheaper route. Many Nobilia colours are also available as a standard laminate panel and plinth in a close colour match. It reduces the panel cost noticeably, and in a matt, low-sheen colour the difference is often hard to spot. On a textured or high-sheen front, though, the laminate will not reproduce the door texture, and the mismatch shows most where raking daylight crosses an island end panel.
Our advice: specify matching finish panels anywhere the eye lands - island ends, tall unit returns, peninsula backs - and consider laminate for concealed plinths and low-visibility runs. We price both options on your quote so the saving is visible rather than assumed.

The single biggest lever. Moving the same layout from a reproduction laminate front to a genuine lacquer front can add 30% to 50% to the cabinet cost without changing a single unit.

Cabinet count and layout
Tall unit walls, larder units and island runs cost more per metre than base and wall runs. Islands also add end panels and worktop overhang.
Handles vs handleless
Integrated grip rails, J-pull and true handleless gola profiles carry a premium over a drilled front with a surface handle.
Worktops
Laminate is included cheaply, quartz and ceramic sit well above it, and full-height splashbacks or waterfall ends add materially to the templated cost.
Appliances
