Calculator: Nobilia Price Group 3-4, 6.0m L-shape + 2.4m island, estimate £15,300 - £22,650

Estimates are budgeting bands built from our published cost per linear metre by price group, adjusted for layout, run length and specification. They are not a quotation - a CAD plan and unit schedule is what fixes the figure, and both are free.

How it works

What the calculator is actually doing

Cost per linear metre

Every price group has a real per-metre band, from around £850 on Schüller Price Group 1 to £3,000 plus on the top Nobilia groups. Your run length times that band is the backbone of the figure.

Layout factor

Each corner adds a corner cabinet, a worktop join and extra panelwork. A single wall is the baseline, a galley slightly above, an L-shape above that and a U-shape highest.

Run length adjustment

Runs under 4 metres carry a higher share of tall and corner units, so cost per metre reads above the band. Long uninterrupted base runs ease slightly the other way.

Island cabinets

Island metres are priced separately because there are no wall units, but seating panelwork and a second worktop pull the saving back.

Panel finish logic

Door-matched panels and plinths sit in the door price group, so they scale with the fronts. Laminate equivalents cost far less and are worth considering where texture match matters least.

Worktops

Laminate and solid laminate only, priced per metre of run. We do not supply stone, composite or timber worktops, and we do not supply appliances, so the figure is cabinetry led.

FAQ

Calculator questions

How accurate is a kitchen cost calculator?
Treat it as a budgeting band rather than a quotation. It uses our real cost per linear metre by price group, adjusted for layout, run length and the extras that genuinely move a total. A designed plan with a unit schedule is what turns the band into a fixed figure, and that is free.
Why does layout change the price if the metres are the same?
Corners cost money. Each corner adds a corner cabinet, a mitred worktop join and extra panelwork, so a U-shape at 6 metres prices above a single wall at 6 metres. Short runs also carry a higher share of tall and corner units, which is why anything under 4 metres reads above the band average per metre.
What does the estimate include?
Cabinets and fronts in your chosen price group on 19mm rigid carcases with Blum or nBox hardware, plus whichever extras you switch on: larder wall, panels and plinths, lighting, interior fit-out and a laminate worktop. We do not supply stone worktops or appliances. Delivery to mainland UK is included in our quotations. Installation is separate.
Why do matching panels change the total so much?
End panels, plinths and cornices in the door finish sit in the same price group as the doors, so on a lacquer or veneer range they are a real share of the total. A laminate equivalent is cheaper and often fine behind an island, but it will not match texture under raking light.
How does this compare with a high street showroom quote?
For the same cabinets, finishes, hardware and warranty, our factory-direct figure is typically up to 30% below a high street showroom quotation. The saving comes from no high street showroom overhead, not from a lesser product.
I already have a quote. Can you check it?
Yes, free and with no obligation. Send the quotation or plan and we rebuild the same specification against the factory unit list, then show you line by line where the difference is overhead and where it is a genuinely different kitchen.
