About the Nobilia Riva range.

Best suited to

  • Industrial, loft-style and warehouse conversion kitchens
  • Open-plan rooms where the kitchen must sit alongside living furniture
  • Concrete and oak two-tone schemes within one price group
  • Households that want a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface

Riva is Nobilia's concrete and timber programme, and it is the front to look at if you want an urban, loft-influenced kitchen without the weight, cost or sealing headaches of real poured concrete. Seven finishes in price group 2, split between five concrete reproductions and two oak reproductions, all under programme 371.

The concretes are White Concrete (891), Concrete Sand (842), Concrete Terra Grey (839), Concrete Grey (892) and Concrete Slate Grey (889). They are not a single grey repeated: Concrete Sand is genuinely warm and works with brass and walnut, while Slate Grey is deep enough to act as the dark element in a two-tone room. The reproduction is a photographic decor with a matched surface texture, so the mottling in the pattern lines up with what your hand feels, which is the detail that separates a convincing concrete front from a flat printed one.

The two timbers, Bergamo Oak (843) and Sanremo Oak (893), are in the same programme for a reason. Concrete on its own can read cold in a British house, particularly in a north-facing room. Running Bergamo Oak on tall units or an island against Concrete Grey base units warms the scheme immediately and keeps everything within one price group. Riva also suits open-plan rooms where the kitchen has to sit next to sofas and dining furniture, because the reproduction finishes are visually quiet from a distance and only reveal their texture up close. Cabinets are rigid built and delivered fully assembled, with soft-close hardware and the 10 year Nobilia guarantee.
