Avola is Schüller's textured oak-effect front, finished in a matt UV lacquer with an anti-fingerprint surface. The important word is textured. The grain is embossed into the door rather than printed flat, so the front has a genuine tactile depth that catches raking light along a run of units. It is the Schüller front to specify when a client wants the character of sawn timber but needs a surface that will survive a family kitchen.
Two finishes are offered: Nebraska Oak, a warm mid-brown with an open grain, and Onyx Black Oak, a deep near-black where the grain reads as texture rather than colour. Onyx Black Oak has become one of the most requested fronts we quote, usually on an island or a tall bank against a pale matt lacquer such as Matera or Fino Matt. Nebraska Oak is the safer whole-kitchen choice and works particularly well in a room with warm flooring and brass ironmongery.
The anti-fingerprint UV lacquer is not a marketing line: it is a cured surface layer that resists the greasy marks that otherwise show badly on dark textured fronts. This is why Onyx Black Oak is practical in a way that a dark timber veneer would not be. Avola sits in price group 3, is available in handled and handleless configurations, and comes as rigid built cabinetry delivered fully assembled with Blum hinges and runners and Schüller's 5 year guarantee, typically 8 to 12 weeks from order.
