Nordic is the most detailed of Nobilia's cottage programmes. Where Cascada keeps its framing flat and quiet, Nordic uses a proper straight framed front with a defined recess, so the door casts a visible shadow line and the room reads more traditional. It is the programme we specify most often when a client wants a Scandinavian-country kitchen rather than a strictly modern one, and it is the natural choice for a shaker-style layout with a large island and glazed wall cabinets.
Programme 497 offers four colours across lacquer and matt lacquer finishes: Honed White (782), Slate Grey Matt (786), Perfect Honed Sand (788) and Black Perfect Matt (791). The two Perfect finishes are the ones worth understanding. Nobilia's Perfect surface is a honed, low-sheen lacquer that diffuses light instead of reflecting it, so Sand and Black read as deep and velvety rather than flat. Black Perfect Matt in particular is what most people are actually picturing when they search for a matt black shaker kitchen.
Nordic supports the full cottage vocabulary: cast iron handles, glazed wall cabinets with muntin bars, open shelving, plate racks and tall larder units with internal pull-outs. Underneath that, the construction is identical to the rest of the Nobilia programme, which is the real argument for buying it. You get rigid built cabinetry delivered fully assembled, soft-close Sensys hinges, and a 10 year manufacturer guarantee, at a price that comfortably undercuts a comparable British in-frame kitchen.
