Siena is where the Schueller Colour Concept starts to earn its money. It is a matt velvet lacquer front with an anti-fingerprint surface, available in all 28 Colour Concept shades, at price group 4. Twenty-eight colours across six coordinated ranges is more choice than most UK manufacturers offer at any price, and because the palette is designed as a system every shade is guaranteed to work alongside every other one.
The six ranges cover whites, warm neutrals, considered greys, deep blues, greens, and reds and yellows. That structure is what makes specifying easy. Instead of matching swatches by eye, you pick a range and choose intensity within it, so a pale neutral wall unit and a deep neutral base run are already coordinated. It also means a two-tone kitchen can be genuinely subtle: two shades from the same family, three tones apart, gives depth without contrast.
The velvet matt lacquer itself is the reason to move up from Matera or Fino Matt. Where those are excellent flat matts, Siena has a slightly softer, more textile-like surface quality with more depth to the pigment, and it reads more like a hand-finished painted door than a factory front. The AFP coating means that holds true in the darker greens, blues and blacks, which are the colours that would otherwise show every mark. Siena is offered in both handled and handleless configurations, so it suits a minimalist grip-rail scheme or a slim bar handle equally.
