Nobilia StoneArt captures the tactile depth of natural slate in a hard-wearing reproduction front. The Grey Slate finish reads as a monolithic, gallery-like surface - subtly veined, warm-cool grey and completely at home paired with matt black taps, integrated appliances and warm timber flooring in an open-plan kitchen.

About the Nobilia StoneArt range.

Best suited to

  • Gallery-like architectural kitchens and monolithic islands
  • Stone-look schemes without the cost or weight of real slate
  • Handleless open-plan kitchens with integrated appliances
  • Contrast against warm timber flooring and matt black fittings

StoneArt is the most architectural front in the Nobilia catalogue. The Grey Slate reproduction (303) under programme 566 reads as a single monolithic stone surface, subtly veined and sitting between warm and cool grey depending on the light in the room. On a tall bank or an island it looks like the units have been cut from one block, which is exactly the effect that a real stone-clad kitchen achieves at many times the cost.

It is a hard-wearing reproduction rather than genuine stone, and that is a practical advantage as well as a cost one. Real slate is porous, heavy, and needs sealing. StoneArt takes steam, heat and cleaning products without staining, and does not require the structural allowances that stone cladding does.

The finish is at its strongest used with restraint. A full kitchen in StoneArt can feel heavy in a smaller room, so we usually specify it for the island, a run of tall units, or the base cabinets with a lighter matt lacquer above. It pairs naturally with matt black tapware, integrated appliances, brushed steel or dark bronze detailing and warm timber flooring to stop the scheme going cold. Handled and handleless configurations are both available, and handleless suits the monolithic look best. Rigid built cabinetry, delivered fully assembled, 10 year manufacturer guarantee.
