Schüller vs NobiliaAbout the Nobilia Pura range.
Best suited to
- True handleless kitchens with no visible grip rail
- Small, narrow or low-light rooms that need reflected light
- Open-plan spaces where the kitchen should recede
- Minimalist schemes with integrated appliances
Pura is the purist end of the Nobilia handleless offer. The J profile handle is machined into the door itself rather than added as a separate grip rail, so the front presents as one continuous high-gloss plane broken only by the shadow gap beneath each door and drawer. There is no aluminium trim to catch the light differently, and no handle to interrupt the run, which is exactly the effect most people are after when they search for a handleless kitchen.
The finish is a genuine high-gloss lacquer in a single White (834) under programme 917. That restriction is deliberate. A built-in J profile has to be lacquered on the machined edge as well as the face, and holding a flawless gloss across both is what keeps the programme to one colour. In practice, White is also the finish that makes the most of a gloss front: it bounces daylight deep into the room and makes a galley or single-wall kitchen feel considerably wider than it is.
Pura is worth considering specifically for smaller and darker rooms, and for open-plan spaces where the kitchen sits in the same sightline as a living area and needs to disappear. It pairs cleanly with a woodgrain island from Structura or Riva if you want warmth, and with matt black tapware if you want contrast. Gloss does show marks more readily than a matt anti-fingerprint front, so it is worth being honest about that. If you want the same handleless silhouette in a low-sheen finish, Inline is the direct alternative.
