In detail

About the Schüller Targa range.

Best suited to

  • Strictly architectural, loft-style and warehouse kitchens
  • Islands and peninsulas visible from a living space
  • Handleless runs with no visible trim or joint line
  • Dark schemes paired with steel, concrete or blackened metal

Targa is the purest handleless front Schueller makes. Rather than relying on a separate rail fixed to the carcase or a channel between the doors, the grip is machined directly into the door itself, so the recess is part of the front rather than an addition to it. The result is an unbroken horizontal line across a run of units with no visible joint, no aluminium trim and no dust ledge to clean.

It comes in a single finish, Steel Dark, a matt UV lacquer with an anti-fingerprint surface. The single option is a design decision rather than a limitation. Targa is intended as an architectural front for a specific type of room: open-plan, loft-influenced, usually with concrete or resin flooring, steel-framed glazing and a substantial island. Steel Dark is a deep, slightly cool grey-black that sits between charcoal and true black, and it is calibrated to work with stainless steel, blackened metal and dark stone.

Because the grip is integrated, Targa is exceptionally good in a peninsula or island where the door face is visible from the living side of the room. There is nothing to catch the eye, no hardware, and the AFP surface keeps the recess area clean where hands actually make contact, which is the usual weak point of a handleless kitchen. It is at its best paired with a timber or veneer element to stop the room reading too severe: a Rocca brushed oak island against Targa perimeter units is the specification we most often build it as. Price group 3, rigid built cabinets delivered fully assembled with soft-close hardware and the 5 year Schueller guarantee.
