About the Nobilia Cascada range.

Best suited to

  • Family kitchens that want country character with laminate durability
  • Two-tone schemes pairing a coloured base run with white wall units
  • Period properties, cottages and barn conversions
  • Buyers wanting a considered cottage front rather than an entry-level door

Cascada is Nobilia's take on the modern cottage kitchen, and it is one of the few programmes in the range that manages to feel relaxed without tipping into pastiche. The front is built around an upright panel detail, framed by a slim, flat profile rather than the heavy mouldings you find on traditional English shaker doors. That restraint is what makes it work in a UK new build or a Victorian terrace equally well: the shape reads as country, the proportions read as contemporary.

The finish is a lacquer laminate, which matters practically. It is far more resistant to knocks, steam and cleaning products than a painted timber door, so it holds up in a family kitchen where a hand-painted shaker would need touching up within a few years. Four colours are offered under programme 684: Reed Green (776), White (774), Fjord Blue (778) and Stone Grey (772). Reed Green and Fjord Blue are the two most requested in the UK, usually on the island or the run of base units with White above to keep the room bright.

Cascada sits in price group 7, which places it in Nobilia's upper bands rather than the entry programmes, and that reflects the extra work in a framed cottage front and the cottage-specific cabinetry that goes with it. Cabinets arrive fully assembled rather than flatpack, with the same carcase construction, Sensys hinges and drawer boxes used across the range. Wooden knob and bar handles, plate racks, open shelving and glazed wall cabinets are all available if you want to lean into the cottage detailing, or you can specify plain bar handles for a quieter, more transitional scheme. Even at price group 7 it typically lands well under a comparable UK high street cottage kitchen, because the front is laminate rather than hand-painted timber and the cabinets ship rigid built from the factory.
