Schüller vs NobiliaAbout the Nobilia Look range.
Best suited to
- First kitchens, rentals and developments where budget is the constraint
- Warm neutral schemes with oak flooring or timber worktops
- Two-tone layouts at single-colour cost
- Buyers who want German carcase quality without paying for a lacquer front
Look is the programme we point people to when the budget is tight but the kitchen still has to feel like a considered piece of furniture. It is a slab front in price group 1, Nobilia's entry band, and on paper that should mean compromise. In practice the surface does most of the heavy lifting: a fine structured texture is pressed into the front so it catches light unevenly, the way a matt painted door does, rather than reading as a flat printed panel.
Programme 099 offers two colours, Sand Structured (604) and Coffee Structured (605). Both are warm rather than cool, which is deliberate. Entry-level kitchens are usually specified in cold whites and greys, and those are exactly the finishes that show their price. Sand and Coffee sit far more comfortably next to oak flooring, brick, brass and the darker worktops most UK buyers choose, and they photograph well in rooms with limited natural light.
Because the front is a slab, Look works with bar handles, recessed grip rails or Nobilia's handleless profiles, so you are not locked into one aesthetic. It also mixes well: a Coffee Structured island against Sand Structured perimeter units is a two-tone scheme that costs no more than a single-colour kitchen. Underneath, nothing changes from the premium programmes. You get the same rigid built carcases delivered fully assembled, the same soft-close Sensys hinges and drawer runners, the same internal storage options and the same 10 year manufacturer guarantee. That is the argument for Look over a UK flatpack kitchen at similar money: the door is honest about what it is, and everything behind it is built to last a couple of decades.
