Nova is Schueller's workhorse. A laminate slab front in price group 1, offered in eight tonal colours and available in both handled and handleless configurations, it is the front that lets you buy a genuinely German-engineered kitchen at a price most UK high street retailers cannot match on their entry ranges.
The palette runs from Crystal White and Seashell White through a set of cool greys, into warm Sand Grey and finishing at Lava Black. It is a tonal rather than a colourful palette, which is intentional: Nova is designed to be specified across a whole kitchen or as the quiet partner to a more expensive front, and the greys in particular are calibrated to sit alongside Schueller's timber and lacquer programmes without clashing. Lava Black is the one that carries the range, deep enough to work as an island or a tall bank against Crystal White above.
Laminate as a material gets unfairly dismissed. On a slab front it is the most practical surface in the catalogue: non-porous, unaffected by steam, indifferent to cleaning products, and it will not chip at the edges the way a painted timber door does when a pan handle catches it. For a family kitchen, a rental property or a project where the kitchen has to survive teenagers, that matters more than the finish being fashionable. Nova can also be specified handleless, which is unusual at this price band and means you can have a fully seamless architectural kitchen for a budget that would normally buy handles.
