In detail

About the Schüller Canto range.

Best suited to

  • Open-plan family kitchens visible from living and dining areas
  • Long runs that need a shadow line to break them up
  • Buyers who find a plain slab too stark and a shaker too traditional
  • Warm neutral and greyed green painted schemes

Canto is a slim-profile handled satin lacquer front in all 28 Colour Concept shades at price group 5. The distinguishing feature is the profile itself: a narrow, softly contemporary edge detail that gives the door definition without the visual weight of a framed shaker or the severity of a plain slab.

That middle position is exactly why it suits open-plan family kitchens. In a room where the kitchen is visible from the sofa and the dining table, a plain slab can read as a bank of anonymous doors while a full shaker can look like it belongs to a different house. The slim Canto profile gives just enough shadow to break up a long run, so the kitchen reads as furniture without dominating the space.

With all 28 Colour Concept shades available, Canto is straightforward to specify in either a single colour or a two-tone layout. The warm neutrals and the greyed greens are the most requested for open-plan rooms because they sit comfortably against upholstery and flooring rather than competing with them. Being handled, the profile also gives you a natural place to put hardware, and slim bar handles run horizontally on drawers work particularly well with the door detail. The satin surface is the practical choice for a busy household: it disguises small marks better than a super-matt and it is far less prone to obvious fingerprints than a gloss. Cabinets are rigid built and delivered fully assembled, with soft-close hardware and the 5 year Schueller guarantee.
