Fino Matt is a super-matt UV lacquer with an anti-fingerprint surface, and it is the front that convinces people the matt trend was not a mistake. A UV-cured lacquer holds pigment differently from a laminate, so the colour has depth to it, and the super-matt finish reflects almost nothing back at you. Under a run of downlights, which is where most matt kitchens give themselves away, a Fino Matt door stays completely even.
Eight tonal colours are offered: crystal, seashell and pure whites, cool crystal grey and warm sand grey, a soft agate grey through the middle, and onyx and lava black at the dark end. Three whites and three greys sounds indulgent but the differences are real and they matter across a large kitchen. Pure White is the cleanest and suits a strictly minimalist scheme. Seashell has enough warmth to work against timber. Agate Grey is the quiet middle option that most people end up specifying when they cannot decide.
The two blacks are what the AFP coating is really for. A super-matt black door is the most striking finish in the catalogue and, without an anti-fingerprint surface, the least practical. With it, onyx and lava black become genuinely liveable, cleaning with nothing more than a damp cloth. Fino Matt suits both handled and handleless configurations and is a common choice for full-height tall runs where a seamless, reflection-free wall of doors is the point.
